Who We Are

What we do:

We are a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering young people both locally and globally. We support youth and children living in impoverished communities by helping them break the cycle of poverty and build a better future through partnerships with exisiting programs. We do this by expanding access to essential resources such as healthcare, education, nutritious food, and clean water through funding of vetted partners that deliver the services.

We also recognize the power of youth voices within our own communities. That’s why we equip local youth with the tools, confidence, and motivation they need to become leaders today—not tomorrow. Through free workshops, mentorship and guidance for youth-led nonprofits, and a range of youth-focused events, we create opportunities for young people to lead meaningful change.

Our Vision:

A world where every youth has an equal voice and commitment as changemakers and where children living in extreme poverty are given a chance to thrive and create a better world for themselves.

Our Mission:

Mission Statement:

To empower and inspire youth both globally and locally through dynamic workshops, impactful training, and meaningful opportunities for local youth change-makers, as well as through sponsorship of youth in underserved communities worldwide, allowing them to lead a better life, one child at a time.

Our History:

In 2023, while in an English class, our founder, Luis Almhanna, watched a video on child sponsorship that would ultimately inspire the creation of a nonprofit organization. As a former refugee, Luis felt a deep personal connection to the realities of child poverty and the youth behind the statistics.

During the lesson, he learned that about $45 per month could provide a child with education, healthcare, food, and clean water. Although inspired, he couldn’t afford to sponsor a child on his own as a high school student.

Instead of giving up, Luis founded a school club to fundraise for child sponsorship. In just six months, he and his team raised $3,700—enough to sponsor a child from age 13 to 18.

After graduating, he built on that momentum by founding the Youth Hope Haven Foundation, with two goals: to combat child and youth poverty in developing countries, and to empower young people to create meaningful change through leadership and action.
